Working Hours at Manila Electric Company (Meralco)

We can work from home 2x a week

Standard 8 AM-5 PM work, but there was an option to work from 7 AM-4 PM.

I’m really satisfied because, even though we are interns, they still care about us, especially since we also have remote work.

The working hours is fine. The 7AM to 4PM shift is enough for me to arrive at the office on time and to still have time for my other activities outside work.

Flexible, and preferred time

There are days when we do work-from-home which makes it flexible.

I am extremely satisfied with the average number of hours I spent in the office at Meralco. My typical work hours were from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, which aligns with standard office hours.

As much as possible people there don't want to overtime, and most of them leave at the exact time of time out.

It could benefit from a hybrid setup

I work from 7am to 4pm, which I personally enjoy because it allows me to finish early and have time for other activities outside of work.

I appreciate how Meralco respects the working hours of its employees.

As intern, we were advised that our time was not very stringent but rather output-based.

8 hours, strict with the full hours, but flexible when given good reason.

The company adheres the regular working hours.

Work hours start from 8AM to 5PM, with lunch breaks in between. Some employees who leave far may opt to go to the office early and leave early as well, but they have to accomplish the required 8 hours a day.

When it comes to work hours, the company manage to work 24/7 because its a Electric Company. They immediately respond when there is a problem in the place that they serve.

The work hours are flexible enough in the sense that you can leave by 03:00 p.m. but overtime is more than allowed. An initial complaint is made by the early 06:00 a.m. start, but figured it was necessary for the everyday operations of the company.

It is not strict as long as you finish the output on the said deadline.

One of the most notable aspects of my internship was the flexibility in working hours. We were granted the autonomy to decide whether to work remotely from home or within the office's confines. As interns, the time-in and time-out policies were surprisingly lenient, allowing for a certain degree of personal preference. Personally, I found the early morning office hours particularly enjoyable, relishing the opportunity to commence work with the dawn.
